Handwoven Rattan Basket
Add visual impact and a natural aesthetic to your room with a handwoven rattan basket. These baskets are handmade from Kubu rattan, a low maintenance light-weight a natural material that is both strong and durable. The coloration is achieved naturally by soaking the rattan in rice paddy fields, where the earthy tones are absorbed by the rattan fibers. The result is a soft grey yellow coloration with a warm beige undertone. After the rattan has dried and aired out, a clear protective coating is applied to seal the rattan canes and reduce splitting. As this is a natural coloration technique, color variations and fading are to be expected.
